There are several techniques for reducing the size of one's breasts. The technique depends often on the size of the breast in the chest anatomy in addition to one's potential for scarring.

One common technique for breast reduction is the anchor scar technique, often employed for very large breasted physiques.

This patient had a vertical type breast reduction. This technique leaves a scar in a lollipop pattern and avoids the scar in that crease below the breast.
