A lateral lip lift is sometimes called a Valentine lip lift. It is a very effective surgical technique and is used to elevate the outer corners of the lip as seen in this patient. If one has just minor sag of the corner of the lips, hyaluronic injections or even Botox can be utilized.

Lip implants can also be used to add volume to the upper and lower lip. Lip augmentation with implants is much less common than in past years since the advent of reliable hyaluronic gel injections.
